I had a very pleasant 3 night stay recently. I very much appreciated the huge bed! There was a problem with the hot water in my room, but the staff were able to quickly put me in another room - they handled that very professionally. These things happen. Dinner on Saturday night was very good. Nice bar. Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet location. Nicely appointed rooms. Pretty good value for money - not the cheapest place to stay, but you get what you pay for! Would happily stay there again.

Always had a superb meal here. Went for the second time today and had another delicious Sunday Lunch. My wife and I both agreed the beef was cooked to perfection and all the veg/ Yorkshire puddings were amazing too. Also had desserts with me opting for the cheesecake of the day (Nutella) and my wife having the sticky toffee pudding, again both superb and I concurred about the sticky toffee pudding having had it on my previous visit. Great service from the staff too, the lady who greeted us on arrival was very attentive and we did not have to wait long at all for food. We will definitely be back!

Very nice pub to stay in! Great food and lovely rooms. The room we were in was bigger than the floorprint of our house! Only issue was a bit of noise coming up from the pub into the room, but it was the Six Nations so expected a good crowd. It's well located for Holy Island and travelling across Northumberland and into the Scottish borders. We'll be back!
